In the heart of Constable Country, this quaint, cosy and charming Grade 2 listed former weavers’ cottage, faces onto Dedham’s historic High Street and is within easy walking distance from shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Dating from the 16th Century, the cottage has recently been completely renovated and redecorated to create a unique, comfortable and relaxing holiday home.

Description of The Property:

Grade 2 Listed cottage dating from 16th/17th century.

Ground Floor: Entrance lobby from High Street. Large Sitting Room with TV & DVD and open gas fire. Kitchen/Dining Room with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Stable doors leading to Threadneedle Street.

1st Floor: Landing, Twin Bedroom with additional single bed, Double Bedroom, Family Bathroom with bath, basin and WC.

Parking. There is street parking in the High Street immediately outside the cottage, alternatively there is ample parking in front of the church a minutes walk away.

Rates:

Low Season            £350 - £450 per week

Mid Season             £450 - £500 per week

High Season           £500 - £600 per week

Normal change-over day: Friday.

The cottage may be available for short breaks (min 2 nights starting from £100 per night) or flexible change-over dates - please enquire.

What is included in the price?

The price includes all heating (gas fired central heating) and electricity, wi-fi access, towels and bed linen for one week’s stay for up to  5 people.

 

Arrival and Departure Times

Arrival: from 3pm - 7pm (please advise if your arrival time is likely to be later). Departure: before 10.30am

 

Pets

Sorry, we are not able to accommodate pets.

 

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the building.

 

Booking Conditions

Please contact us to confirm availability. A deposit of 25% of the full booking fee will secure your booking for the agreed dates. The full cost must be paid within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday. Payment can be made by cheque or by credit card (please ring with your card details).

 

Breakages and Damage

We also require a security deposit of £100, payable in cash on arrival or by cheque/credit card in advance. This is fully refunded on departure subject to there being no breakages or damage. Any damage costing more than £100 will be charged at cost.

 

Cancellations

Should you have to cancel your booking more than 6 weeks before the start of your holiday, your deposit/full payment will be refunded in full. Within 6 weeks of the start of your holiday payment is not refundable unless we can re-book the period assigned
